Perry Lane opened in May 2018 and quickly became a draw for those who wanted to be a part of the city’s ever-expanding creative scene. At first glance, you’re not sure if the two buildings across Perry Lane are brand new or historically renovated; the architecture blends in so seamlessly. There is a piano, leather chairs, and plantation shutters in the library, updated with an expansive art collection, a jewel-box of an elevator, and a rooftop bar and pool with some of the best views of downtown.

It’s a part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, but the affiliation isn’t immediately apparent. As if it’s been around for some time, the building appears to be brand new. There has been a concerted effort to incorporate elements of Savannah’s unique culture and aesthetic, including input from the city’s artisans.

A little retro, but still clean, uncluttered, and crisp. Rooms in the tower are more spacious and private than those in the main building. Leather chairs and rugs from Turkey decorate each room. While the bathroom has a rain shower and a fluffy sink-into bed, there is no tub.
