Besides the capital city, there are many other popular tourist spots and attractions in and around Sri lanka. There are several national parks in Sri Lanka, including the famous Kandy national park. In Kandy, you can sight the Toothless Reef, which is home to many fish and other sea life. The best time to visit Sri Lanka is the end of February to April, or at the beginning of May to September. This is because the rainy season in Sri Lanka is at its peak during these times. The weather is also nicer at this time and the weather is said to be perfect for Sri Lankan travelers. The monsoon season, which starts in May and ends in September, is also a great time to plan a trip to Sri Lanka. With the monsoon season at its peak, you will find the beaches of the country quite crowded during this time. However, there is no need to worry, as there are many Sri lanka travel tips available on the internet to make sure that you have a wonderful and unforgettable experience when visiting Sri lanka.

As a Sri Lankan travel tip, you may also want to take advantage of the one-day trip that many airlines offer these days. Another great tip for a Sri Lankan tour is to do a backpacking trip around the country. Although it is easy to get a rental car in Colombo, many people still prefer to do a foot tour around the country. There are many people who actually like doing a full sightseeing tour in Sri Lanka. However, they find it difficult to walk around the many towns and cities in the country. Another Sri Lankan travel tip is to do a trekking trip. There are several trekking trails in the south and west of the country. One of the most important Sri Lankan travel tips that you must take note is to exchange at least 22000 Rupees (approximately US $SNM) in foreign currencies. This includes Rupees(R), British Pounds(GBP) and Euros(EUR). Exchanging Rupees(R) with Thailand’s Thai Baht can also be done at the Maenamara Market. In fact, Rupees(R) are accepted at all the main exchange points in Sri Lanka including the Forex offices located in both the country and its capital city Colombo.
