Vermont is a beautiful state in the northeast United States, recognized for its amazing natural scenery, which is largely forested. Part of the New England area, it is also known as the home of over 100 antiques covered wooden bridges, and is a main producer of maple syrup and other maple products. This naturally blessed state is also host to skiing resorts and numerous hiking trails. It is also a popular place for weddings because it is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, from which the backdrop of this beautiful mountain home can be enjoyed. Whether you wish for an outdoor wedding or an indoor reception, Vermont has a location that will suit your needs.

Lake Champlain is Vermont’s largest lake and one of its most well-known natural features. It is also one of its best hiking locations. Enjoy a hiking adventure through this scenic area with Lake Champlain State Park, a popular attraction that features many different types of hiking trails. There are two main campsites in and around the lake, and a variety of accommodations including cabin rentals and hotels. The sights around the lake are worth a visit.

Another popular outdoor activity in Vermont is taking in some of the gorgeous mountain views that are found all throughout Vermont. Some of the most notable places to view the mountains are located in the towns of Stoneham, Middleton, and Hanley. Legend has it that a young man by the name of Vermont Joe, who had sold pot and coal to the miners on the nearby mountain, made a settlement with them, promising to share his knowledge of how to grow crops and plants, among other things, with them. Legend says that he fell in love with a lady named Sarah, who was married to a wealthy man, but he decided to come back to Vermont so that she could marry him. This legend may be related to the early state flower, the blueberry, which was named after Vermont Joe.

Other popular outdoor activities in Vermont include riding, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, cycling, and more. There are a number of popular places for these activities, such as Lake Champlain, where families can camp and hike, enjoy swimming, or take part in various other water sports. Others include the Penobscot and St. Albans lakes, which each have their own rustic charm. Many of the Vermont towns that comprise the cities of Burlington, Montpelier, Rutland, and West Springfield have all been home to people who came to escape the cold and rain of the New England mountains for as long as anyone can remember.

There is also a popular family event in Vermont that is hosted in the town every year. This yearly event, called Vermont Bike Month, is held on the first weekend in June. Thousands of Vermonters get together to show off their love of bikes, and to celebrate the joy of summer. The most popular attraction at this year’s Bike Month is actually a festival of food, music, art, and craft, called the South Shore Music and Arts Festival.
