1. Great Wolf Lodge – Wisconsin
Great Wolf Lodge has 18 locations across the United States, including one in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, making it convenient for a wide variety of families to visit. The indoor water parks at each Great Wolf property include slides, spraygrounds, lazy rivers, and wave pools. However, the water park isn’t the only thing that makes Great Wolf Lodge a fun place to visit.
A nightly story time, ropes courses, glow-in-the-dark golf, bowling, and even a spa are just some of the other activities that are available to guests of all ages. Each of the resorts features a variety of dining establishments, and perhaps our favorite amenity, spacious themed hotel rooms. These rooms include the KidCabin Suite, which gives children the opportunity to camp out in their very own enclosed space.
2. Kalahari Resort – Wisconsin
Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is another fan favorite with multiple properties. They have resorts in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; and Round Rock, Texas. All of the locations feature both indoor and outdoor water parks, in addition to outdoor adventure parks that include activities such as rock climbing, mini-golf, ziplining, and ropes courses.
These resorts with a safari-inspired water park also feature shopping, spas, signature restaurants, and accommodations suitable for families of varying sizes, including villas with anywhere from three to ten bedrooms.
3. Wilderness Resort – Wisconsin
Have you heard that Wisconsin Dells is known as the Water Park Capital of the World? The Wisconsin Dells and all of its indoor water parks are a popular destination for winter vacations when the weather outside is frightful. The Dells are home to 20 water parks (and counting), some of the most popular of which are Great Wolf Lodge, Kalahari Resorts, and Wilderness Resort, which is one of our all-time favorites.
The expansive Wilderness Resort has eight different water parks in total, including four indoor water parks, four outdoor water parks, and everything in between, from kiddie pools to roller coasters and everything in between. There are five different types of rooms available, as well as multiple dining establishments, a spa, and other amenities.
4. Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark – New York
The Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark is one of the newest indoor water park resorts in the United States. It opened its doors in the year 2019. But thanks to its two acres of thrills, which include seven water slides, a sprayground for little ones, a lazy river, a FlowRider surf simulator, and a heated indoor/outdoor pool, it has quickly become one of the best.
This indoor water park resort is located in the Catskills, a popular vacation destination in the state of New York. In addition to the water park, the resort features rock climbing, ropes courses, an arcade, bowling alley, daily scheduled activities, and eight different dining options. There are suites with multiple bedrooms as well as rooms with bunk beds available for guests.
5. Wilderness at the Smokies – Tennessee
The indoor water park at Wilderness at the Smokies is called the Wild Waterdome, and the two outdoor water parks at Wilderness at the Smokies are called Lake Wilderness and Salamander Springs respectively. Wilderness at the Smokies is situated in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. A second water park, known as Soaky Mountain Waterpark, can be found directly across the street from the first.
Guests can choose from a variety of lodging options, including standard guestrooms to multi-bedroom villas; nearly a dozen restaurants; retail shops; and a family entertainment center with laser tag, ropes courses, and other activities.
6. Moose Mountain Falls at Timber Ridge Lodge and Waterpark – Wisconsin
Timber Ridge Lodge, which can be found in the Lake Geneva region of Wisconsin, is not only close to all the water activities available on Geneva Lake, but it also has a 50,000 square foot indoor/outdoor water park right on the premises! It is one of the best indoor water park resorts for families with young children because Moose Mountain Falls, which is located inside the lodge, is heated to 86 degrees Fahrenheit year-round and offers a heated pool, lazy river, and tame water slides. Moose Mountain Falls is located inside the lodge.
The admission fee to the water park is included in the cost of your stay; the number of free passes you receive is determined by the accommodations you select. A wide variety of land-based activities, such as miniature golf, an arcade, horseback riding, and many other pursuits, are available to guests at the resort that features a water park.
7. King’s Pointe Water Park Resort – Iowa
The King’s Pointe Waterpark Resort, which is situated on Storm Lake and is approximately 2.5 hours’ drive from Des Moines, is sure to impress children with its indoor and outdoor water parks. The Howling Hurricane, which is an open-flume body slide, The Mighty Mustang and Racing Panther, both of which are dual speed slides, and the Discovery Plunge, which is a two-person raft ride, are some of the most popular water slides.
In addition, there is a lily pad walk, a zero-entry depth pool, a lazy river, and a splash pad specifically for children. Make a reservation in one of the guestrooms or suites that offer a view of the lake and the outdoor water park, or choose to stay in the comfort of one of the Sunrise Cottages, which can accommodate up to eight guests.
8. Boji Splash Indoor Waterpark at Bridges Bay Resort – Iowa
The Boji Splash Indoor Waterpark can be found at the Bridges Bay Resort, which is situated on Lake Okoboji and is a popular summertime destination for family vacations in Iowa and the surrounding Midwestern states. The resort also features spacious condos with fully equipped kitchens, easy access to activities on the lake and amusements at Arnolds Park, and more.
The water park caters to younger children and features activities such as water slides, a lazy river, a water walk along lily pads, a basketball court, a water-dropping mushroom, a splash pad with a 500-gallon dump bucket (which is always the highlight), and more. Outside, there is both a swimming pool and ziplining for guests to enjoy.
9. Camelback Lodge and Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark – Pennsylvania
This park offers zip lining, ropes courses, and a mountain coaster. Camelback Resort in the Pocono Mountains features skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing at Camelback Mountain Ski Resort; outdoor water fun at Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark; outdoor water fun at Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark; and indoor water thrills at Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, which is open throughout the year.
Aquatopia has a total of 16 attractions, with eight of those being water slides. The indoor water park just recently opened a new water slide called Mountain Mayhem, which has a variety of lighting effects, as well as visuals that are projected inside the slide itself. In addition, there is a FlowRider surfing simulator, a lazy river, a wave pool, a spray ground for children, and a “spa lagoon” where adults and children alike can relax. When it’s time to take a break from the water park, head back to your suite or apartment with one, two, or three bedrooms to freshen up before heading to the spa for a treatment or dining at one of the restaurants located on the property.
10. Massanutten Resort Water Park – Virginia
Guests of the Massanutten Resort Water Park, which is found in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, are rewarded with an incredible mountain location as well as access to both indoor and outdoor water parks. In addition to hot tubs, the indoor water park features a FlowRider surfing simulator, a lazy river, a spray ground, tube and body slides, and hot tubs.
At this kid-friendly family resort, in addition to skiing and golfing, you can also enjoy a spa treatment, go mountain biking, explore the Massanutten Family Adventure Park, and do a lot of other fun things. It would be a shame to miss out on the kid zone programs and other activities that are appropriate for families, such as art workshops, cooking demonstrations, evening shows, and scuba diving.
11. Kahuna Laguna – New Hampshire
Kahuna Laguna This is the highlight of a trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire’s Red Jacket Mountain View Resort, which is designed specifically with families in mind. The Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park is the largest water park in the state of New Hampshire. It features a water slide tower that is three stories tall, a wave pool, hot tubs, a spray ground, a splash pad with erupting geysers, water basketball, and the Aquabrella, which is a giant umbrella with cascading water.
Visit Keeko’s Hideout, which is named after the water park’s monkey mascot (who you are likely to see while you are there), the Tiki Tide Cafe for a bite to eat, or the Aloha Arcade when it is time for a break.
12. Cascades Indoor Waterpark at Hope Lake Lodge and Conference Center – New York
Hope Lake Lodge is located at Greek Peak Mountain Resort in the Finger Lakes and provides convenient and cozy lodging for skiers and snowboarders. What could be better? With a water park on-site, it’s the perfect place for a family vacation in New York City! Cascades Indoor Waterpark offers a variety of amenities for guests to enjoy, including water slides, a kiddie pool, a standard indoor pool, hot tubs, and more.
The Adventure Center at the resort offers a wide range of activities, including zip-lining, a mountain coaster, and snow tubing. The on-site spa is the perfect place to unwind after a long day.
13. SoundWaves at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center – Tennessee
The Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee, opened SoundWaves, its best new addition to date, in 2018. SoundWaves was initially an indoor water park, but it was later expanded to include an outdoor water park as well. The water park resort features music-themed attractions such as the Down Tempo Lazy River with LED lighting and music and the Rapid Remix, an adrenaline-inducing water slide with tunes blasting from 12 speakers. The water park is heated to a balmy 84 degrees Fahrenheit year-round.
In addition to its water park, the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is a destination in and of itself, featuring a spa, restaurants, retail outlets, holiday-themed activities (such as “I Love Christmas Movies”), and other attractions.
14. Pump House Indoor Waterpark at Jay Peak Resort – Vermont
In the Pump House Indoor Waterpark, which is onsite at Jay Peak Resort, you can enjoy a 20-person outdoor hot tub on a cold winter’s day, regardless of if you’ve been skiing or snowboarding. This indoor water park resort is located at one of the most popular family ski resorts in the area and features a FlowRider surfing simulator, an activity pool, a splash pad, and four water slides. A near vertical drop and a full 360-degree rotation at 45mph make La Chute the most exciting part of the ride.
In addition to all of the fun things to do in Vermont, the resort also has an arcade, movie theater, disc golf, mountain biking trail, summer tram rides, indoor ice arena, and a slew of other activities for families to enjoy.
15. DreamWorks Water Park – New Jersey
DreamWorks Water Park in New Jersey may be what you’re searching for if you want all-year-round enjoyment with a huge assortment of splashy water rides. DreamWorks Water Park, which boasts a tropical environment all year, features record-breaking rides and luxury cabanas.
The largest indoor wave pool in the world is only about five minutes from New York City. The six-story water park is located close to Nickelodeon Universe American Dream. It also boasts 40 thrilling water slides and 15 attractions related to specific DreamWorks franchises.
Some of the features include a themed space centered on Shrek’s Soggy Swamp, a Madagascar-inspired tower called Madagascar Rain Forest with 15 water slides, a Kung Fu Panda-themed play area for kids called Kung Fu Panda Zone, and much more. ProSlide Technology, a Canadian business, created all of DreamWorks’ water slides.
16. Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort – Pennsylvania
The temperature at the water park is maintained at 84 degrees all year long, and it features the largest indoor wave pool in the eastern United States. In addition, the water park features seven spiral water slides, a lazy river, a children’s activity treehouse, a massive arcade, a five-story interactive Tiki Treehouse, treetops ropes course, and family whirlpools. You also have the choice to spend the night at one of their affiliated hotels or at one of their partner hotels that is located in the area.
Take a break and enjoy a meal with your loved ones at the Laguna Grill or Hooch & Blotto’s Sports Bar, which features a miniature bowling alley. Both restaurants are located within the resort. Team-building exercises, birthday parties, scout teams, and church or school groups will find that the Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort is the ideal location for their outing.

It has over a dozen heated water rides, such as exhilarating body slides, tube slides, the Torrent wave river, kid’s zones, a wave pool, an arcade, and a man-made surfing wave, and it also has a man-made surfing wave.
18. Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark – Michigan
Are you looking for a good time with the whole family? Then Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark, Michigan’s largest indoor waterpark, is the obvious choice. Located in the heart of Boyne Mountain Resort, this water park is open to visitors of all ages and offers a wide variety of water-based activities. It’s open year-round, making it a great place to visit for a day or a vacation.
Splasherhorn Mountain is an interactive play structure, and the park’s newest thrill is The Big Couloir. Other thrills include The ProSlide SuperLOOP, the park’s steepest drop, and the Rip Zone surf simulator. Other amenities include: a lazy river and hot tubs for relaxation; a children’s pool; and the Rip Zone surf simulator. In addition, there is an arcade with some of the most popular games in the industry.
19. KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort – Illinois
The Key Lime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort is an island-inspired destination that is approximately a half-hour drive from both Milwaukee and Chicago. There is no better place to spend time with the whole family than at this resort, which is themed after a tropical island.
The Great Wolf Lodge recently took ownership of this waterpark and made significant improvements to it. Now, it has been updated with a wolf and forest theme and has added more water slides to its collection of attractions. In addition to that, you will notice that the exterior of this water park is decorated in a fashionable combination of peach and brown.
20. Water Park of America – Minnesota
The Great Wolf Lodge, which was formerly known as the Water Park of America, is home to the longest and highest-altitude indoor water slide in the entirety of the United States. A slide tower that is as high as ten stories can be found on this property, which has a total land area of 70,000 square feet.
Underneath the slide tower is where you will find the lazy river, the wave pool, the small pool with floating logs that children can leap across, the two hot tubs, the swimming pool, and the area designated for the younger children. The indoor amusement park can be reached by car in a matter of minutes from both the Mall of America and the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport.
At one point in its history, the Water Park of America was an attached attraction to the Radisson Hotel. Evolution Hospitality was in charge of both the hotel and the indoor water park that was attached to it. On the other hand, Great Wolf Resorts acquired the property in January of 2017. The resort eventually became known as the Great Wolf Lodge after the name change. After undergoing rebranding and renovations, both the hotel and the indoor water park were closed for the duration of the property’s closure, which lasted until December 2017.
21. H2Oasis Indoor Waterpark – Alaska
At the time of its completion, the H2Oasis Indoor Waterpark was the fifth largest indoor waterpark in the United States. It had a total land area of 56,000 square feet, making it the fifth largest indoor waterpark in the United States. The indoor waterpark provides a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to spend quality time together while getting away from the bitterly cold days that are common in Alaska.
The Master Blaster, which is a water-powered roller coaster, the Open-Flume Orange Slide, the Enclosed Green Slide, the Pirate Ship Kiddie Pool, a lazy river, a wave pool, and the Alaskan Hot Tub are some of the attractions that can be found there. There is no other location in Alaska that can provide you with such a magnificent aquatic adventure, and this fact cannot be refuted.
22. Epic Waters – Texas
Are you interested in visiting North Texas’s most recent and most epic indoor water park? Go without delay to Grand Prairie in order to check out Epic Waters, which covers a total land area of 80,000 square feet.
It features eleven water slides, such as the Yellowjacket Drop and the Texas Twist, as well as the Lasso Loop, which is the nation’s tallest indoor Aqualoop ride. All members of the family are sure to have a splashing good time thanks to the park’s exciting features. At Sahara Sam’s Oasis Indoor and Outdoor Waterpark, you can relive the carefree days of summer any time of year. Sahara Sam’s provides the greater community of the Tri-State area with premium yet affordable entertainment 365 days a year. The business was established in March 2009 and is located in West Berlin, New Jersey. It has a total land area of 68,000 square feet that is covered by a roofing system that can retract.
It is impossible to become uninterested in the activities that are available, such as water slides, amusements, water attractions, and birthday parties for children and their families living in Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey.
