Colorful schools of fish, rays, sea turtles, puffers, and barracudas are just a few of the animals that call these waters home. The water is tranquil because of the barrier reef that extends between the two points of Soliman, protecting sea life as well as swimmers, kayakers, and snorkelers from the open sea. 16. Palafitos Overwater Bungalows at El Dorado Maroma, Gourmet All Inclusive by Karisma – Adults Only
The best way to enjoy a tropical paradise isn’t on the beach but under the waves. When you stay at El Dorado Maroma, you can see one of the Top 10 Beaches in the World in a whole new way. Palafitos-Overwater Bungalows are a group of 30 private bungalows that sit right over the turquoise waters of Maroma Beach. Every part of these luxurious suites is made to show off the beauty of the area. From your own deck, you can see the sunrise and set in a beautiful show of colors. Take a swim in your private infinity pool, which gives you a beautiful view of the sea. In your Aguas del AmorTM private outdoor shower, you can wash off. And let your personal Majordomo take care of the rest while you sit back and enjoy yourself.
You can treat yourself to Gourmet Inclusive® experiences that have won awards without ever leaving the Palafitos-Overwater Bungalow enclave. At the Overwater Grill & Wine Bar, where there are two dining rooms with glass floors and amazing views of the sea, guests will also fall in love with the delicious gourmet food. If you want to feel the most relaxed, go to the overwater Náay Spa, which uses traditional Mayan herbal practices and the antioxidant-rich sea moss from Maroma Beach in its treatments.
17. Barceló Maya Palace – All Inclusive
The Barcelo Maya Palace, which opened in 2008, is the newest, smallest (by megaresort standards), and most lavish of the Barcelo hotels. It has everything a 4.5-star all-inclusive should have, including beautiful pools, a bevy of amenities, and good meals. Everything about this hotel is luxury, from the foyer to the service and the rooms. The Club Premium level provides additional luxuries such as personalized concierge services, free 24-hour room service, and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Guests staying at the Palace have access to all of the facilities at its sister properties, the Barcelo Maya Colonial & Tropical and the Barcelo Maya Caribe & Beach, but not the other way around, making the resort feel more tranquil and exclusive. The fitness center, gourmet and buffet restaurants, pools, and entertainment are exclusive to Palace guests, while the spa, kids’ spa, and beach are shared with other Barcelo facilities. During peak season, a shuttle runs every 15 to 20 minutes from early morning until late at night, however, wait times might be longer in the off-season, and walking is sometimes more convenient. However, there is little shelter and the distances can be long, so visitors planning to explore on foot should wear a hat.
The hotel’s “24/7 All-Inclusive Plan” is a positive because it implies that snacks and drinks are provided to all guests in the lobby bar all night. Food is typically comprised of little sandwiches and pieces of pizza, as well as a few sweets.
Throughout the day, there are activities at the main pool and the sun deck surrounding it, but music ends no later than 7 p.m., so guests who want to spend some peaceful time in their rooms won’t be disturbed by loud house rhythms when the sun goes down. Because the Club Premium rooms are closest to the pools and the beach, they may be noisier throughout the day when the windows are open.
18. Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun All-Inclusive
This family-friendly Hyatt resort is surrounded by the sea on three sides and has exquisite white-sand beaches. Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun and Hyatt Zilara Cancun are adults-only, therefore this is the greatest option for families. After a multimillion-dollar makeover in 2016, the facility reopened as a Hyatt. Three towers encircled by gardens house rooms. The adults-only Turquoize at Hyatt Ziva Cancun includes its own pool, restaurant, and spa, allowing the resort to accommodate both couples and families. Expansive grounds contain three pristine infinity pools with lots of loungers and trendy cabanas, but the hotel’s white-sand beaches may be the more enticing sun-loafing option, with brilliant blue waters and palapa-shaded loungers lining the shore. On-site, tourists can swim with dolphins in a dolphin habitat.
The modern foyer is bright, with cream-colored stone walls, shining flooring, and elegant wood components. This spacious space has comfortable couches, fashionable chairs, and chic wooden coffee tables. The clean-lined, Scandinavian-chic decor has subtle Mayan influences, such as patterned pillows, and blue area rugs. Glass walls engraved with a gossamer lattice motif separate various portions of the space. Some of the hotel’s restaurants, lounges, and bars have a modern, minimal-meets-Mexican aesthetic, while others have traditional wood-paneled walls, tufted leather banquettes, and white tablecloths. There’s even a classic American diner with seating in a turquoise Chevy from the ’50s.
Conclusion
The Mexican Riviera Maya is a great place to visit, with many all-inclusive resorts that make it easy for visitors to relax and enjoy themselves on the beach. Most of the resorts are great for families, as they feature a variety of water sports and activities for children, along with excellent dining options for adults.
